How to Play Jhandi Munda (Langur Burja)

"Jhandi Munda" is a traditional gambling game played in India which is known as "Langur Burja" in Nepal and "Crown and Anchor" in England and rest of the world. This game is played with a special dice which has symbols printed on its faces in stead of pips. Four of the six faces are standard card suits - "Diamonds", "Clubs", "Hearts", "Spades" and remaining two symbols are "Crown" and "Flag".

You play against dealer. Put your wager, pick a side and play. The rules are as following

  • Six dice are rolled and player places bet on one of the six symbols.
  • If no dice shows the symbol player had bet on, then player loses bet to the dealer.
  • If one or more dice shows the symbol player had bet on, then player receives the bet amount multiplied by number of times symbol was rolled plus original bet amount.
