Generala Dice Game Rules
How to Play Generala Dice Game
The Generala (or General) dice game is played with five six-sided dice. The objective of the game is to score generala in the first roll of a turn to win**. If no one scores generala in the first roll of a turn, winner is decided by the total points scored by the players at the end of the game.
Each player is given 10 turns in all to score.
In each turn the dice can be rolled up to three times. The player is not required to roll dice for exactly three times.
If they have achieved a combination earlier, they can call it and pass the turn to next player.
There are a total of 10 possible combinations and each combination can only be used once so once a player has called for a combination and used it, it can not be used to score in later turns.
The scorecard contains combinations as following.
||Dice with number one
||Total of ones rolled
||Dice with number two
||Total of twos rolled
||Dice with number three
||Total of threes rolled
||Dice with number four
||Total of fours rolled
||Dice with number five
||Total of fives rolled
||Dice with number six
||Total of sixes rolled
||Five sequential dice(1-2-3-4-5 or 2-3-4-5-6)
||A three-of-a-kind and a pair
|Four of a kind
||At least four dice showing the same number
||All five dice showing the same number
Some combinations can be used to choose which category to use them for.
For ex. 4-4-4-4-4 can be played for Four of a kind or Fours.
Other rules followed in the game are:
- If players make a Straight, or Full House, or Four of a Kind on the first roll of a given turn, they are given 5 extra points.
- Player making Generala on the first roll of a turn automatically wins the game.**
** In order to avoid automatic end of the game, the online game does not follow "automatic win" rule so the winner is decided only by the final scores of the players.
